90 Day Fiancé fans found out if one of the unhappiest couples from the show, Asuelu Pulaa, and Kalani Faagata are still together or getting divorced.
Former 90 Day Fiancé star Asuelu Pulaa revealed what has caused divorce rumors between him and Kalani Faagata. Kalani and Asuelu, who were last seen on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, seemingly haven’t been happy since they married in September 2018 on 90 Day Fiancé season 6. Sparks flew between Kalani and Asuelu when she met him in Samoa during a vacation. They quickly got pregnant and soon enough Asuelu came to America to stay with Kalani’s family who was always skeptical about the couple. As expected, things started going downhill for Kalani and Asuelu amidst them having a second baby together.
Lack of communication was one of the biggest problems in Kalani and Asuelu’s 90 Day Fiancé relationship, but money created more issues between them. Asuelu failed to become the husband and father that Kalani wanted in her family, and while he was struggling to earn enough for his wife and kids, his mom and sister entered the picture. Kalani and Asuelu tried everything from couple’s counseling to the Samoan man’s car accident which almost healed their relationship. As of March, Asuelu and Kalani were still together and even went to Hawaii, but a 90 Day Diaries season 3 episode revealed the couple had reached a “breaking point.”
Asuelu unfollowed and blocked Kalani with her making a statement in May saying “I'll explain at the end of the month.” While Kalani hasn’t given away more information about a possible divorce, it’s surprisingly Asuelu who explained what’s happening between them via Instagram. The 90 Day Fiancé star posted an old Instagram video of him dancing with Kalani and confessed that even though fans keep asking him where his wife is, she doesn’t want to join his LIVE or film TikToks with him. “She’s different from how she used too [sic] she doesn’t wanna go out with me,” Asuelu wrote in his caption before adding that he’s giving Kalani and the boys everything that they need.
“I have alot to said [sic] but I can’t,” he admitted, as he mentioned it’s his contract with 90 Day Fiancé that’s stopped him, aside from which his life is “under control.” Asuelu feels that “it’s hard” because he wants to have his own house and Kalani doesn’t. Moreover, Asuelu blamed Kalani for being the one who doesn’t want to communicate anymore when he’s the one who’s supposed to have blocked her. “Hopefully we sell this house very soon so I can go back to work,” he commented, confirming that he doesn’t have a job. In his comments, fans asked Asuelu to keep his private life under wraps and to resolve things with Kalani. To them, he said, “not personal anymore is everywhere.” Asuelu assured a well-wisher that he’s trying, but to someone who asked him to “grow up,” he bluntly said, “I think I’m more mature than you bcoz you don’t believe what you (TV emoji.)”
Fans are sure Asuelu’s honest caption is going to start a big fight between him and Kalani, and so is he. However, this isn’t the first time that Asuelu and Kalani are on the brink of divorce. Kalani has managed to not leave Asuelu despite their many terrible fights, which means she easily forgives her first love. The fan-favorite 90 Day Fiancé couple has one of the most real relationships in the franchise, and fans will keep rooting for Kalani and Asuelu to cross this hurdle together.
