My 600-lb Life's JT Clark was the second-heaviest patient in the history of the show. Find out what happened to him after his episode aired.

JT Clark My 600-lb Life

When Julius "JT" Clark appeared on My 600-lb Life season 8, he was 32 years old and 892 pounds, and it's time to find out what happened to him after his episode aired. JT had a 100-lb lymphedema mass on his leg that made it very difficult for him to walk. He admitted that he was addicted to food, and nothing in his life could compete with the way it made him feel. JT had a girlfriend, Jessica, who supported him at his heaviest and at the beginning of this journey. However, she broke up with him when it became too much for her.

JT sought help from renowned My 600-lb Life bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, AKA Dr. Now. He started JT on a controlled diet in the hospital because his situation was so serious. He was able to lose 126 pounds through this process. However, he needed some tough love from Dr. Now to help him find the motivation to keep going. When Jessica left him, his cousin, Blair, joined him in Houston to help him with his journey. After his weight loss surgery, JT lost about 400 pounds and weighed 491 pounds. Dr. Now told JT that he would be ready for his lymphedema surgery in a couple of months.

JT doesn't update his Facebook much, but he appears to have kept the weight off in the ones he has shared. TLC posted some before and after photographs of him in their My 600-lb Life transformation gallery. The pictures show a significant change in JT's physique, including a slight reduction in the size of his lymphedema.

My 600-lb Life's JT Clark Announced His Lymphedema Removal Surgery

In a February 10, 2023, Facebook post, JT wrote, "HEY EVERYONE. IM NEEDING A RIDE TO HOUSTON TO GET THE MASS REMOVED FROM MY LEG. ANYONE WILLING TO GIVE ME A RIDE TO HOUSTON? YOU WILL BE FULLY COMPENSATED." He later commented that his uncle would be driving him to Houston. On February 21, he posted, "It's finally happening. 15 long years."

JT was the second-heaviest patient ever to appear on the show. He worked hard to lose weight and get healthier with the help of Dr. Now's program. It is great to hear that the My 600-lb Life star most likely had his lymphedema removed from his leg. That would have helped him to lose approximately 100 more pounds from his body. Although he battled many obstacles along the way, JT was able to achieve his goals. JT is an inspiration, and hopefully, he's living a happier and healthier life since his My 600-lb Life journey began.

My 600-lb Life airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
