Another new Wordle puzzle is read to be solved. For those who might need a little help, here are today's hints and the fully spoiled Wordle answer.
A new Wordle word is available to solve for fans of the game and today's word could cause some players to score their first loss in a while. Oftentimes, it's easy to get stuck in a guessing rut and run out of chances, thus causing a loss, and this almost happened to us solving today's Wordle.
For those who may be new to the game, there are a few simple strategies to keep in mind when solving the daily word puzzle. One that works well for us is a consistent and repeatable starting word. When you use the same word every day your brain gets used to knowing where to go based on the clues given. It also helps if you use a word with lots of vowels like IRATE, SOARE, or RAISE.

Today's Wordle Answer (October 24th #857)
The October 24th Wordle answer is CAUSE.
We were really close to losing this one today. As always, we used the starting Wordle word IRATE. This provided both vowels, one in its correct location and one in an incorrect location. Moving the 'A' around we tried CACHE which locked in the 'A' and even added another letter in the right spot. This seemed like an easy win until we got caught in the "incorrect guesses loop" that almost lost it for us completely.
Our third try was CARNE, this proved incorrect so we moved on. Our fourth attempt was CALVE and that was another chunk of incorrect letters. Things were looking dreary as we stared at the screen for a bit too long and tried CAFFE as our fifth guess. Another fail and the sweat started to bead, our long-standing win streak was in jeopardy. Luckily with our sixth and final guess, we ended up pulling off a Wordle win-in-six with the correct answer, CAUSE.
